Consistent gentle treatment

Our skin is the largest organ of our body and anything that breaks it forms a wound. For some, a wound can be surgical incisions and the areas where the tubes or catheters are injected. When our skin is broken, there’s a great risk of germs getting into our body, causing infection. The deeper and larger a wound is, the more care it needs. With the wound care provided by our trained nurses, especially if you need an extra hand, serious wounds are monitored and treated to promote healing and protection from infection.

We also encourage our residents receiving wound care to eat healthy foods that will supply the body with vitamins and minerals while their wounds are being treated for speedy healing.
